In the textbook, through the prism of analysis of the state migration policy of Russia and foreign states, the concepts of migration and migration processes, the main models of migration policy, its subjects, directions and mechanisms of implementation are sequentially considered. Particular attention is paid to migration crises and political technologies used by various states to prevent crises and overcome their consequences, ensure national security, develop international relations and world politics. Given the requirements of acts of international law and national legislation, the main directions of countering illegal migration and the fight against other types of deviations involving migrants are revealed.
