The work discusses the main trends in the international activity of Mexico in the first two decades of the XXI century, as well as the leading trends of the socio-political development of this largest Latin American country. The author sought to show that Mexico not only claims to the role of the regional leader, but also more actively connects to solving the main problems of world policy, where it emphasized independent and independent positions. Will Mexico be able to finish this “U -turn” from the United States, the limp and also a colorless “ally” of which it was customary to believe this country, to Latin America, the once lost position in which she is trying to restore? The answer to this question was the main task of the author of the work
