The authors subject their heroes “Testing Love”, put obstacles that must be overcome in the path of loving hearts. But the most difficult obstacles, as a rule, are hidden in the depths of the souls of the loving themselves, and it is precisely them to win the hardest thing. The Golden Age of Russian Literature does not have clear temporary boundaries. He “stretched” throughout the 19th century, from the first works of sentimentalism and romanticism to a triumph of realism. During this period, brilliant poems and poems, great novels and novels were written. This is “Poor Lisa”, and “Eugene Onegin”, and “Anna Karenina” ... Their heroes are differently tested by love, but each time the results of this test become a sentence of the whole generation. And at a time when these works were written, living people passed the same tests. And those of them who were writers or poets left us their notes, thanks to which we learn what they were worried about. Perhaps, having met the love stories of poets of the Golden Age, someone will decide that not all of them deserve the name of the real heroes of their time. Maybe even they will seem weak and selfish, and their poetry is just a beautiful lie. But literature, and especially poetry, is very rarely created for the sake of a “positive example”. Her task is completely different - to give comfort to those who suffer, to remind us to all that we are people, and therefore we can be kinder to each other and become better. About the awakening of good feelings, and above all the feelings of love, and about what trials love faced in the fertile golden century, and it will be discussed in this book
