October 13, 1972, a small plane with a team of young rugbyists on board deviated from the course and crashed into the mountains. Of the forty -five passengers and crew members, sixteen survived. They fought for ten exhausting weeks in the snowy Andes, without warm clothes, without food and water, without means of communication, opposed severe nature and tried to get out to people.
