Mikhail Viktorovich Panov (1920-2001) - Russian linguist, literary critic, doctor of philological sciences, a vivid representative of the Moscow background of the logical school, the author of works on Russian phonetics, morphology, syntax of style, as well as linguistic publications for children and school textbook in the Russian language.
A course dedicated to the language of Russian poetry of the XVIII-XX centuries- from Lomonosov to Voznesensky, M.V. Panov read at Moscow University in the 1970s and 1980s, invariably collecting a huge audience, which was only students, but also Adult free listeners. These lectures were noticeable to the phenomenon of the cultural life of Moscow.
The book was based on decrypted audio recordings of lectures, preserved at the Institute of the Russian Language named after V.V. Vinogradova RAS. Student notes of this course were also used. The publication, which is interesting for both specialists and for a wide audience, is equipped with a disk with audio recordings of individual lectures, an introductory article, comments and a nominal index
