This book is devoted to the study of individuality and sociality in nature and human society. The desire for a society of their own kind --- a common feature of all the inhabitants of our planet --- from microorganisms to a reasonable person. Becoming a member of the collective, the individual inevitably loses a certain share of freedom and independence.
