In the 20th century, the history of mankind developed in such a way that with a difference of three decades in the world two large states appeared with the Communist parties that have ruled in them: the USSR and the PRC. They lasted as neighbors and "ideological twins" for four decades. Then in one of them the Communist Party ceased to be ruling. Both states were in a new situation unique to humanity and for them. Since then, three decades have existed relations between these states. Each of them has its own understanding of the history and the current state of bilateral relations. Readers are invited to get acquainted with the interpretations of both sides, with an attempt to figure out “what it was”, what were the stages of this path (what was the "path" from the "era" of Stalin and Mao to the "times" of Putin and Si) what is happening. Now and what it can turn out in the future.
The work also discusses the processes in the history of American-Chinese relations and the Chinese-American relations during the time from Mao and Nixon to Si and Trump.
