The training manual discusses the main trends and patterns in the formation of foreign policy of the countries of the Afro-Asian world. The authors are given the goal of showing how a foreign policy course is being formed in these countries and key foreign policy decisions are made, what is the role of political leadership, government and individual ministries and departments, business circles, expert community and public opinion. A special place in the manual is occupied by the issue of shadow aspects of the foreign policy process, including the role of informal structures in making key foreign policy decisions.
