In his work, Vladimir Kantor, Doctor of Philosophical Sciences, Head of the International Research of Russian-European Intellectual Dialogue of the National Research University "Higher School of Economics" (NIU-VSHE) and the Ordinary professor of the school of philosophy of the same university, elects the theme of his study the conjugation of literature with philosophy. In the opinion of the author, there was not a single great literary work that would not be in the tense field of philosophical ideas. Outside of this context, real literature is incomprehensible. Already Plato"s dialogs were both philosophy and wonderful literature. According to Dostoevsky, "thought must be felt." But for this there should be a thought in the work, there must be a philosophical context. So the Shakespearean "Hamlet" is incomprehensible without turning to the texts of Erasmus of Rotterdam, Pico affairs of Mirandola, Martin Luther, echo of ideas whose ideas sound in the prince"s speeches. As Heidegger said, the Western world, its culture are born in the poetic sayings of ancient Greek philosophers, for philosophy and poetry are on different peaks, but they say the same thing ... The task of the researcher is to be able to see it and inform the reader, which can be done in the only way - that the only way is to do it - give an analysis of philosophical meanings in the great works of world literature. The book discusses the texts of Shakespeare, Hoffmann, Balzac, Dostoevsky, Kafka, Vl. Solovyova, V. Bryusov, E. Zamyatin, A. Kotler, I. Ehrenburg, V. Cormer and other literature masters in the philosophical context of their time
