This collective monograph contains the results of the study of vocabulary of colloquial speech in comparison with scientific and artistic speech. It presents the most frequency vocabulary of colloquial speech, specific to colloquial speech, the functioning of neutral vocabulary, and a comparison was carried out with the "frequency dictionary of the Russian language". Conversational speech was studied on the basis of a significant volume of tape recordings of speech, 100,000th vocabulary file cabinets of the University of Saratov and manual records. Consideration of vocabulary by its morphological groups (nouns, verb, etc) facilitates the use of a book for educational purposes (teaching the Russian language to foreigners).
