Karpov Akhill Bonifatievich (1867-1911) - Ural officer, poet, writer, historian of Yaitsky (Ural) Cossack army. He studied at the Orenburg military gymnasium, at the Orenburg Cossack Junker School. In 1886 he was promoted to the rank of coronet, served in the Amur Cossack army. During this period, he wrote the anthem of the Amur Cossack army Glory to you, brothers, heroes - Amurs! In 1896, the Ural Cossack army was transferred. In 1900, Karpov transferred to serve in the Zaamur border guard. He participated in the Russo-Japanese War. In 1907, he returned to the Ural Cossack army in the rank of Yesaul. Simultaneously with the service, he was engaged in historical research and literary work. He published a number of books, including the most famous historical works “Urals” (1911), “Monument of the Cossack antiquity” (1909)
