At the heart of this interesting and cognitive book are genuine materials, some of them are little known even to the Czechvedians. The publication consists of articles thematically related to the stay of Anton Pavlovich in Yalta. They reveal various aspects of the writer’s biography and work, contain excerpts from the correspondence of A.P. Chekhov with relatives, close friends, where the chain of events in his life, which ultimately led to the idea of moving to a permanent residence, also in articles Documents related to the choice of a place and the construction of the house are given, materials about his difficult fate after the death of the owner. Many pages of the book are dedicated to Maria Pavlovna Chekhova, her huge role in preserving the memory of her brother. Particular attention in the articles is paid to Olga Leonardovna Knipper-Chekhova, beloved woman and wife Anton Pavlovich. The first publication of a number of articles by A.V. Khanilo, who devoted himself to the study of the life and work of the great Russian writer, took place in the historical and local history almanac "Old Yalta"
