The monograph is dedicated to the business magazines of I.V. Vernadsky-"Economic Index" (1857-1861) and "Economista" (1858-1865) The work presents a detailed analysis of the content and structure of magazines, subjects and problems of articles, censorship conditions restored according to archival documents. Separately, the creative activity of leading employees, as well as a polemic with other periodic publications of that time, was considered. The position of magazines on the key problems of the turn of the 1850-1860s was noted. Trends in the development of economic newspapers and magazines of the mid -19th century were also revealed.
