In the new monograph by the Russian-American writer and researcher, professor of Boston College Maxim D. Schraier, the creative path of the leading representatives of the Russian village prose of Viktor Astafyev, Vasily Belov and Valentin Rasputin is analyzed in detail. Schraer"s book shows how the writers -ereearies" actively distributed both household and state forms of Soviet anti-Semitism. According to Schraer, the authors themselves caused the decline of Russian village prose, having inscribed the anti -Semitic narrative into their literary works and public discursive statements
