In the USA there is a bipartisan system, but few people know that it has been updated for more than two hundred and more than two hundred years of American independence. Three systems with different names of the main participants can be called. And the republican and democratic parties, unchanging participants in the system since the 1850s, have repeatedly changed their parameters. US historians have five to six or even more national party systems. The author follows his own periodization and gives assessments that are different from American and modern domestic, mainly journalistic, explanations.
