This book, created by the international team of historians, is devoted to the history of the emergence, formation and development of the Trotskyist movement in Latin America at its first, heroic stage, in the 30-40s of the twentieth century, when it was supposed to defend its ideological and political position in the face of hostility and repression both from the right, anti -communist forces and authorities, and from their former associates in the communist International. In the book, the reader will find the history of the international formation of Trotskyism and its currents in certain Latin America countries, as well as a panorama of ideological and political discussions in the left movement in the world in these dramatic years of the twentieth century.
