Lee Tein was born in 1936. In 1961 he graduated from the University of Kalisha in Czechoslovakia. In 1987 - 2002 he was a member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee. In 1998 - 2003, he worked as the president of the Academy of Public Sciences of the PRC, in 2003 - 2007 - deputy chairman of the Standing Committee of the All -Children"s Assembly of People"s Representatives. The book "On Democracy" contains articles, speeches and other works of the author, created during his work as the chairman of the State Committee on Economic Reform
