Mikhail Nestorovich Speransky (1863-1938) - Russian philologist, folklorist, Byzantine. He was a professor at Moscow University, corresponding member of the Imperial St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences (1902), academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences (1921) and a member of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (1926).
