The works of Oleg Sakmarov have a dual nature: on the one hand, they are texts of songs or musical compositions of large forms, on the other hand, they are fully self-sufficient poems and epics. Becoming romances, blues, oratorios, they do not cease to exist on paper, where they were born and first took on a completed form. For Sakmarov, the visual and graphic image of the verse is important, playing a special role in the overall sense of the whole in his texts. Therefore, only the reader, following the lines with their eyes, can fully appreciate the creative concept and its realization, and within the framework of postmodern discourse - trace the sources of the author's inspiration: from the Silver Age, Oberiuts, and Joseph Brodsky to classical Japanese and Chinese poetry. The structural basis of the collection is the author's division into semantic blocks. Some of them include texts of rock albums, oratorios, and symphonies, while others are rhythmic meditations and wanderings in the labyrinths of the subconscious. This edition represents the first complete collection of poems by Oleg Sakmarov.
