Roman "Sibilla, or two nations" saw the light in 1845. It was a mature work of the author who had already held: a topical, sharp, interesting, in the literary environment he shot like fireworks and quickly became the heritage of the English reader. The book did not lose popularity and then when socio-political tensions in England began to subscribe, and the era of Victorian prosperity was coming. The novel was translated into European languages. In Russia, Sibilla was interested in mainly historians, literary critics and dizraeli biographers
