The manual provides a description of the clinical picture of sialolithiasis, methods of its diagnosis and treatment. Diseases of the salivary glands are often encountered in the practice of a dentist. Currently, there are individual studies dedicated to the issue of surgical treatment of salivary gland diseases, particularly surgical treatment of patients with sialolithiasis. They mainly focus on the technique of removing large salivary glands and do not fully reflect the experience of domestic and foreign specialists. The book attempts to systematize and describe the etiology, pathogenesis, clinical picture, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with sialolithiasis based on methods known today both in Russia and abroad. The publication is intended for students of dental and medical faculties of medical universities, practicing dentists, oral surgeons, and maxillofacial surgeons working in outpatient clinics or hospitals.
