The repressions that swept our country in the late 1930s caused huge damage to Soviet foreign intelligence, seriously undermined its successful activities in previous years. The arrests affected not only foreign intelligence leaders, but also many leading scouts. As a result, almost all illegal residencies were liquidated, ties with the most valuable sources of information were lost, which most seriously affected the state security of the country. The book tells about the most prominent scouts that fell victims of unreasonable repressions. At the same time, in its separate chapter, brief biographical information is given to their colleagues, who also became victims of “big terror”.
