The proposed release of brief messages IA RAS fully consists of the materials of the scientific conference "Archeology of the Stone Age: new research and discoveries" held on February 9-11, 2011 at the Institute of Archeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The conference was devoted to the discussion of the newest results of the study of the monuments of the Stone Age on the territory of Russia and beyond. Published materials cover a long period of time - from the lower Paleolithic (Oldovan and Ashel) to the late Neolithic and Eneolita, the geographical range of research includes the European part of Russia. Caucasus and Urals. The exit to the light of this issue falls for the year of twentieth anniversary of the Institute of Archeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences of the Archeology Department of the Stone Age and reflects the results achieved by experts in the field of study of the oldest history of humanity.
