A parody of boulevard detective novels. An unknown criminal with a twisted imagination sends packages containing fragments of human remains to selected addresses. The investigation is baffled. The recipients become suspects. It is unclear who will be the next to receive the terrifying package, and who will be its recipient... Nikolai Georgievich Shebuyev (1874-1937) was a writer, journalist, poet, and publisher. In 1905-1906, he published the popular satirical magazine "Pulemyot," where he harshly mocked the tsarist government, leading to his arrest and imprisonment. From 1906-1907, he published a newspaper, and from 1908 to 1925, he published magazines. He also wrote scripts for the stage and circus.
