Nikolai Konstantinovich Roerich - an outstanding philosopher, a wonderful artist and writer, traveler and a public figure - belongs to the number of brightest personalities in the history of world culture. In this edition, the readers are offered two works of Roerich, Shambala and Asian Heart, in which a scientist, telling about the mythical country of Shambala, its meaning and great ruler, tried to convey the West of the most sacred word and the cornerstone of Asia. The image of Shambhala became one of the central in the works of Roerich. Most of the stories about this solid knowledge of great knowledge and light Roerich learned during the famous Central Asian expedition (1923-1928), during which travel diaries were created, published subsequently under the name Asia Heart. The main part of these notes is the wonderful descriptions of the ancient cultures, the opening of the secret knowledge of the East and the philosophical observations of Roerich, about which Leonid Andreev wrote: The brilliant fantasy of Roerich reaches those limits behind which it becomes already clairvoyant. Images are lovely, deep and complex, like dreams, he tuits into clarity and beauty of almost mathematical formulas, in the color of flowers, where the most unexpected transitions and combinations are consistently felt the truth of the Creator.
