The book of the St. Petersburg translator S. A. Stepanov is devoted to Shakespeare"s problems. The main attention in it is paid to the sonnets of W. Shakespeare, which are presented in this publication in S. Stepanov, the problem of authorship of the famous book, prototypes of lyrical heroes. Despite the fact that the scientific literature on the sonnets is huge, the author is trying to give his own answers to the main questions of Shakespeare"s studies, abandoning the usual postulates and building his study on a different foundation
