A study is presented at the junction of two medical specialties - dentistry and endocrinology. The results of clinical and experimental observations with a large clinical material analysis and data on the influence of hormones on the growth and development of teeth of experimental animals are presented. Sexual dimorphism in the growth of constant teeth in children and adolescents is installed in terms of their teething, intensity, growth rate, total data on age periods compared with physical development indicators. An explanation of the influence of sex hormones is given.
In the experimental conditions, the growth and development of teeth and bone in animal intact and with a changed hormonal status are compared, their hormone addiction is confirmed. Differences in the growth and development of highly mineralized tissues in animals of different sexes are revealed. The changes in the composition of macro- and microelements, depending on the dose and type of hormone, as well as the speed of teeth increases.
