Seventeen Moments of Spring. A film-novel with a story.

Fifty years ago, a multi-part film "Seventeen Moments of Spring" based on the eponymous novel by Yulian Semyonov was released on the television screens of the country. Our publication is dedicated to the history of the famous book and its legendary adaptation. For the first time, the film novel "Seventeen Moments of Spring" is being published - the original literary screenplay of the feature film. It was written by Yulian Semyonov before the novel itself and therefore has significant differences from it. The answer to the question of how and why this happened, and other interesting details of the creation of the novel, the film, and the literary hero in general - the intelligence officer Isaev-Shiritsa, are contained in the documentary essay "Film Novel with a History" and other sections of this book. For the first time, the novella "Odyssey of the 44th Year" and other unknown works from the writer's archive are being published - novellas "Mr. Bolshevik", "Exodus", "49 Hours 25 Minutes", stories, and essays.
