One of the best poets of our time Semyon Lipkin was born in 1911 in Odessa. Until 1967, he was known as an outstanding Master of Epos Translations and the Classics of the East. The books of the original poems of Lipkin began to go out when the poet was already 56 years old. After Lipkin, together with his wife, Inna Lisnyanskaya in 1980, came out of the Writers" Union published only abroad. His first, the most voluminous collection of Poems "Will", who came out in America amounted to Joseph Brodsky, for the first time the prosaic works of Lipkin "Decade", "Stalingrad Vasily Grossman", "paintings and voices" are first printed abroad.
