The collection publishes materials from the XXI International Scientific and God-Slovan Conference "Service of God and Man in the Modern World", held by the Preobrazhensky Commonwealth of the Small Orthodox Brotherhoods and the Holy Filaret Institute in 2011.
The word "Service" can be understood in the broadest sense, from high to household: ministry of God and church, art and science, Fatherland and family. What is the ministry, to whom or what our predecessors served and to whom or what our contemporaries are ready to serve - these and many other problems and issues are discussed in the reports of the conference participants and the adjacent discussions. In addition, a significant part of the materials of the collection is devoted to understanding the life experience of N.N. Neplyuyev, the Russian aristocrat, whose work was the Christian education of peasant children and the arrangement of the crusads of the Working Brotherhood
