The book is devoted to a comprehensive discussion of the W3C Consortium initiative called "Semantic Web", which actually determines the transition to a new World WWW World Wide Web Development Stage. The authors systematically describe the principles, models and technologies of the semantic web, including XML, RDF, RDFS, SPARQL, OWL, logic and logical conclusion, ontological engineering. All materials of the book are accompanied by examples and applications illustrating ways to use the described technologies. The publication is intended for students and teachers of universities engaged in computer sciences, as well as web developers and everyone who is interested in modern web technologies.
