In the book "Self-Impression", Robert Earl Burton explains and develops the most important position of the fourth way - one of the greatest esoteric traditions of the 20th century, founded by G.I. Gurdjaevy and P.D.Uspensky. Following the creators of the teachings, the author claims - all the ideas of the system rotate around one, the self-residency is the axis of the wheel, all the rest are the knitting needles. And although the self-residency is a non-verbal process that is difficult to describe the description, the author speaks of it an affordable language, quoting famous poets and even familiar from childhood a fairy tale.
Self-love - a multifaceted process, this and the ability to constantly be present in the present ("remember yourself"), and divided attention ("You are what observes, and not what you are watching") Similar ideas can be found in most spiritual traditions and religious exercises, but for the author it is not just a theory, this is a tool with which everyone can wake up "for another, genuine life.
Many people live all their lives, being striking in the future or past, not realizing that the "past" and "future" are no more than words. The person must work with what offers him the present, should not be deceiving himself - the next moment will not be better than this or more appropriate.
Everything except the present is an illusion. Our work is always now. We have nowhere to go, except for the present, because all the roads lead to this living moment
