The monograph is devoted to the actual problem of developing self-consciousness and formation of self-esteem in children"s and adolescence. The focus is on the role of parents, teachers, peers in this process. Generalizing the 25-year experience of his scientific, pedagogical and practical psychological work and relying on the basic principles of the system approach, the author offers a new approach to the study of self-assessment as solving a special class of tasks, reveals their psychological mechanism, and also sets out the results of the research studies conducted by him, affecting the development of self-consciousness and self-assessment of children and adolescents.
