The first book of the first volume of the chosen works of academician A.L. Yanshin is devoted to regional geology, hydrogeology and tectonics of the Southern Urals and Kazakhstan (Northern Asaralya, Mangyshlak, Ustyurt, the Caspian cavity and their environment) and includes work written in 1930-1960. The articles consider fundamental issues about kinematics and the age of explosive violations in the region, about the continuation of the Ural folded structures in the southern direction, about the ratio of the structures of the southeast of the Russian platform, the Urals, the Tien Shan and Mangyshlak, and the various problems of the geology of small structures were analyzed in detail , individual deposits. At the end of the book is the introduction to the book "Earth and Man", the table of contents and a list of literature that have not been previously published.
