The book presents the evolution of the scientific worldview of an outstanding Russian psychologist A.V. Brushlinsky: from the development of the theory of thinking as forecasting, research of fundamental issues of the ratio of natural and social in the determination of the psyche to the most important problems of the methodology and history of psychology. A new variant of the system approach is described - the continual-genetic (non-invalid) method of studying a person as a subject of activity and its own existence. Based on this method, an original scientific direction was developed - the psychology of the subject. In the book, the subject is analyzed as the creator of its being and the result of a holistic vision of a person in the unity of his natural, social and spiritual began. It is shown that the humanisticity of psychological science is manifested in the study of the vertex manifestations of the psychology of the subject - spirituality, morality, freedom, responsibility
