Vennia Fortunate (530/540 - OK.600) is the most significant Latin poet of the VI century. He received a rhetorical education in Italy, lasted with the courts of Frankish sovereigns and cumshots in Sana Bishop Poitiers. Becoming a connecting link between the ancient tradition and the Christian poetry of the High Middle Ages, he became famous for both the author of the classical elegi and the messages, and as the creator of church hymns who influenced the medieval sequence.
