The book contains the main demographic works of the outstanding Russian demographer Andrei Gavrilovich Volkov, who for 40 years he conducted the demographics department of the CSSA of the USSR (subsequently - the State Statistics Committee of the USSR and the Russian Federation) In published works A.G. Volkov considers such fundamental problems such as the subject and method of demographics, its place in the system of sciences, in detail the methods of measurement of the analysis of demographic processes are presented.
