Security of Russia. Security of railway transport

The formulation of general problems of the security of the creation, functioning and development of railway transport for almost two hundred years of history is analyzed. Particular attention is paid to security, resource, survivability, strength, cold resistance of the rolling stock and railway transport infrastructure in extremely difficult conditions of Siberia and the North - taking into account low climatic temperatures, high seismicity, high length of ways, availability of water and mountain barriers. Reflects the unique domestic experience of industrial and resource development and solving complex transport problems of Siberia and the North. Prospective goals, tasks and indicators of the effectiveness of railway transport facilities of new generations in the interests of increasing the social, economic, technological, industrial and defense spheres of national security are noted.
