Vladimir Bekhterev was an outstanding Russian and Soviet psychiatrist, neurologist, physiologist, the founder of reflexology in Russia, and an academician. He founded the Psychoneurological Institute in St. Petersburg - the world's first center for the scientific development of psychology, psychiatry, and neurology. Contemporary colleagues of academician Vladimir Bekhterev said that only two entities knew the anatomy of the brain - the Lord God and Bekhterev.
