The publication continues a series of books about antique household items and is dedicated to tableware, cutlery, and table setting rules, as well as table etiquette. It offers a collector's and researcher's perspective on traditions and food culture through objects related to food preparation, serving, and consumption. With new products came new types of tableware and cutlery, new traditions were formed, and new etiquette rules were developed. Food is an integral part of human history and culture, and changes in diet and etiquette often reflect deeper processes in the political, cultural, economic, and even ideological spheres. The author suggests looking not only at the history of objects but also at history through objects. The book includes both forgotten items and everyday objects that have changed unrecognizably over time.
