The famous author-criminalist Kurt Aust - Dane, now living in Norway and Norwegian-writing, has become widely known in Europe after the publication of his first book Judgment Day (1999), awarded the Prize For Best Debut. This book, the writer opens the criminal series from the Middle Ages, in which the novel the second after God, awarded the prestigious Norwegian Prize Riverton and the Literary Prize Glass Key as the best Scandinavian detective for 2003. The books of the series are united not only by time and place of action, but also the main characters - this is the Danish professor Thomas Bubberg and his student, Norwegian Petter Horten.
