World-system at a turning point: Changing power balance between Core and Periphery countries and the onset of a global crisis

This century is unlikely to be calm. It seems that the world has entered the period of the global crisis - the crisis of civilization, which arose around the 15th century and finally formed in the 19th century. For the most part, crisis processes began to appear in the middle of the 20th century.
In terms of world-system analysis, this crisis can be described as a weakening of the potential of the rigid and soft power of the nucleus (Western Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand) relative to the periphery (the rest of the world).
The main reasons for changing the balance of forces between the core and the periphery:
- assimilation by the periphery of industrial, managerial, medical technologies and elements of labor ethics and consumer units of the nucleus countries,
- a crisis of values in societies of nucleus countries.
The consequence of the crisis is a gradual loss of ability to determine global political, economic and cultural trends and be an example for the countries of the periphery.
As a result of the crisis, a new world system will arise over time-a system with a new core and a new periphery. Now the configuration of the future nucleus is not yet clear, but the presence of China in it is already quite obvious
