Thermodynamics and statistical physics. Volume 3. Theory of non-equilibrium systems

The book is a textbook on the second part of the course "thermodynamics and statistical physics", read by the author since 1963 at the Faculty of Faculty of Moscow State University for students of the 4th year of the daytime department. The manual includes the material corresponding to the 2nd part of the current program at this rate. This material includes the theory of fluctuations, the Brownian movement and issues of the theory of random processes, the thermodynamic theory of irreversible processes, kinetic equations in statistical mechanics. The second edition differs from the first inclusion of a series of additional material (a detailed analysis of the phenomenon "spin echo", a thermodynamic consideration of the effect of temperature separation of gas in a vortex tube, etc).
The material of the manual is divided into two parts: the main thing that reflects mainly the material included in the lecture course, and the additional --- tasks and additional questions (not going beyond the subjects established by the program), which allows you to study Some issues of statistical mechanics are in more detail.
