Historically, the development of science has developed in such a way that the technical and biological sciences went along two different paths: the first as accurate, the latter as descriptive.
The lack of their interaction to ensure the safe and effective functioning of the “man-machine” systems systematically leads to the creation of emergency situations, technological accidents and disasters, often written off to the "human factor".
Solving this problem is possible by analyzing biological processes that occur in living organisms, both thermodynamic systems that subordinate both the general laws of thermodynamics and the laws of thermodynamics of biological systems, describing the features of their functioning. This allows us to consider biology as an exact science that provides the possibility of obtaining objective quantitative assessments of biological processes.
Given that all living organisms on Earth consist of cells that function according to the same principle, but manifested differently in different conditions, the fundamental possibility of creating a general theory of global safety, on the basis of which the necessary measures can be developed To ensure maximum safety of both the biosphere and humanity.
The proposed monograph contains the general theoretical basis of the approach to solve this problem and some examples of its practical implementation. It can be useful for senior students and graduate students studying engineering disciplines for technosphere safety, as well as teachers and specialists working in the field of safety and reduction of risks
