Three books, or three teachings - about being, essence and concept - form the foundation of the philosophical system of George Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (1770–1831), which gained the form in 1812-1816. For the first time, labor was published in two volumes: “objective logic” (the first two books) and “subjective logic” (last book) This is one of the most influential philosophical works of the New Age, partly playing a role in the formation of neo -Marxism, philosophical hermeneutics and dialectical materialism.
The translation into Russian was made by a doctor of philosophical sciences and the convinced Marxist Boris Grigoryevich Player (1871–1937) He used more than one edition, but worked immediately with everyone, paying special attention to the first lifetime. At the beginning of the 20th century, in the reviews of the new translation of the Science of Logic, they wrote that the translator managed to convey the fluidity of the meanings of words, proposing the most accurate formulations of Hegelian ideas
