This book gives a systematic presentation of theoretical foundations, methods and applications of one of the most important sections of the mathematical theory of management and planning-linear programming. The authors took into account the methodological comments of linear programming teachers and the experience of computing centers that used the first edition of the book in their practical activities. The presentation of methods and computational procedures is given in a substantially simplified form.
This publication is a third part of the book consisting of three parts published simultaneously in the URSS publishing house. The numbering of the pages in all parts is through, since they are a direct continuation of each other, at the same time all three books can be considered completely independent works. Each book contains a list of used literature and an alphabetical index common to all three parts. The third part gives a detailed presentation of the theory and methods of solving a transport problem and its various modifications, including an important generalization of the transport problem --- the so-called distribution task.
The book is designed for a wide range of mathematicians, engineers and economists, it can be used as a training management for universities, computing centers, research institutes
