In the 19th century, the flowers gave lovers the opportunity to open to each other, without violating the strict rules of behavior: with the help of them it was possible to transmit messages in the most charming way. So gradually a real, carefully designed tongue appeared - the language of flowers, Lingua Flora.
This fascinating book will introduce you to the language of flowers from two points of view: historical and modern. An illustrative basis for the first part was the exquisite collection of watercolors of the 19th century - “Book of Memory”, created by Fanny Robinson, a talented artist and passionate lover of colors. In the second part, the authors will continue to explore the world of flowers on the example of the works of other artists, showing what influence flowers had on people in the past and what role they play today
