Rockets, their design and application

Before readers is a unique book, which at one time has become one of the first scientific monographs on the reactive movement both in the USSR and in the world, and comprehensively covers the issues of missile technology. Its authors, outstanding scientists, founders of research in the field of rocket and space technology in the USSR G. E. Langemak and V.P. Glushko summarized the experience of constructing missiles and outlined their use in the civil and military spheres.
The book sets out basic information about the reactive movement, the basics of the device of missile devices on solid and liquid fuels and the possible areas of the use of these devices. The authors also give a systematic description and critical analysis of the most characteristic of the designs of missile devices that were proposed at that time described in the general literature and in foreign patents.
In the final article written by the son of one of the authors, historian A.V. Glushko, it is described in detail about the history of writing a book.
