Twenty years ago, the search for planets-and life-outside the solar system were the lot of fantasy writers. Today it is one of the most dynamically developing areas of astronomical science, and the number of open exoplanets is already calculated by thousands. The discovery of these worlds became possible only in the last decade. Especially the “productive” was 2016, which was greatly facilitated by the active work of the Kepler space telescope. These new worlds are not at all like the fantasies of writers - the planets larger than Jupiter, where the year lasts only one week, the planets who are circulating around the remains of dead stars, a planet with two suns in the sky and planet without sun. Somewhere there there are worlds the size of the Earth, on one half of which is always day, and on the other - eternal night, water worlds, the entire surface of which is hidden under the thickness of the oceans, and the lava worlds that erect the seas of magmas. “Planet Factory” is a story about exoplanets, that is, planets addressing the stars outside our solar system
