The book of the famous writer and popularizer of science Y. I. Perelman is not at all like a school textbook. Its goal is to encourage the reader to conscious observation of the simplest physical phenomena, to teach them how to notice them in the environment, in everyday life, in nature, in technology, gradually accumulating that supply of facts, a systematic study of which physical science is engaged in.
